We have a social responsibility regarding our manufacturing: we are committed to ensuring that everyone who works on a ONE PLANET product does so in a fair, safe, and non-discriminatory working environment, regardless of their location. Our social responsibility to the wider outdoor community means promoting the outdoors as an accessible, safe, non-discriminatory place for all people. We also encourage respect towards the environment, as well as acknowledgement of First Nations people and their traditional lands.

TRADITIONAL OWNERS

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, specifically the Kurung-Jang-Balluk and Marin-Balluk clans, as traditional owners of the land upon which we work. We recognise and respect the Ancestors, Elders and families – past, present and emerging – and extend this respect to all Indigenous people.

It’s not just our gear we want to last: it’s the places you take it to as well. ONE PLANET values good design, the sourcing of ethical and sustainable materials, and low-impact production.

At ONE PLANET we uphold our Standard of Manufacturing in our Melbourne facility. We also work closely with our international partners to ensure they understand and meet these standards, and are committed to maintaining them. We audit our international partners with regular personal visits and social accountability audits.

The outdoor community

ONE PLANET was founded by passionate members of the local outdoors community. We recognise our responsibility to promote and give back to that same outdoor community today. We encourage inclusivity and diversity by designing technical products for all people. We have an honest marketing approach with a focus on providing clear information. And we directly support outdoor education programs and industry professionals.

Good design is imperative for functionality but comfort can be individual. Our product range is designed to fit a wide range of the diverse individuals who make up our outdoor community.

We support local retailers and bricks-and-mortar shops as these can provide amazing customer experiences and refreshingly knowledgeable service.

We believe that the right equipment and education improve the accessibility, safety and enjoyment of the outdoors. Honest, frank and clear communication empowers our customers to understand their gear and make informed choices. It’s our responsibility to ensure our customers understand the tested standards, technical features and fitting guides of each product to allow their choices to meet their needs.

Outdoor Education & professional users

ONE PLANET’s range of equipment for Outdoor Education supports students and teachers in the field, using specific, thoughtful designs to improve safety, durability and ease of use. We also support professional users, emergency services, Antarctic divisions and scientific researchers by designing custom equipment to meet their specific needs.
