Warranty of manufacturing
We choose to offer a ONE PLANET® warranty covering manufacturing, workmanship and material defects for all products in our range. (This is in addition to what is legislated under consumer law.) This warranty extends from the date of purchase and assumes recreational use.
If manufacturing or materials are faulty or defective during this time, we will assess the goods, then repair or replace at our discretion. In most cases, you should get a longer lifespan than the manufacturing warranty period with good care, maintenance and servicing.
Ten years* for WATERLOC® canvas rucksacks;
Five years* on rainwear, tents, Diamondloc packs, and all other products;
One year* on footwear, Dyneema® composite fabric, wheeled luggage, zips and zip sliders, elastic, buckles and hubs.
You must be the original owner/purchaser. The ONE PLANET® warranty does not cover:
- General, reasonable or fair wear and tear.
- Improper and abrasive wear including burns, cuts and tears.
- Misuse, abuse, accident or negligence.
- Failure to observe care instructions, including incorrect laundering, maintenance and storage.
- Cosmetic matters (minor scratches, fading of colours, surface deformations, mould, odour or smell).
- End of life breakdown of materials and components, including solar and chemical damage.
- Products purchased ‘used’ or ‘as is’.
- Products purchased from non-authorised resellers.
- Wear and tear under non-recreational use.
We have confidence in our products. However, it would be remiss not to mention a couple of points. The adhesives and coatings used in all materials are in a state of decomposition from the day they are made. The speed of this is outside our control. The environment in which a product is used and stored and how it is cared for will affect the workable life of the product. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law – these apply for a reasonable time, with the time frame depending on the goods. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
How to send your gear for assessment
All ONE PLANET® assessments are managed by our team in the Melbourne factory. To assess a claim in our Melbourne factory, the product must be surface cleaned, dried and returned.
The purchaser is responsible for the cost of returning the product for warranty assessment. ONE PLANET® will not be held responsible for items missing in transit. When returning goods, we suggest using an insured service that allows tracking.
Please include a copy of your receipt (proof of purchase) and a completed copy of our online returns form.
