Our Rainwear

One Planet has been producing technical, waterproof/ breathable garments for more than 20 years. All rainwear is still made in our Melbourne factory, enabling staff to continually monitor quality and performance in-house. We select the highest quality components available throughout our clothing range.

Synapse waterproof/breathable fabric

We choose Synapse® waterproof/breathable fabric for its performance and durability. This three-layer fabric has a bonded waterproof/breathable membrane protected by a hard-wearing, water-repellent face fabric lined with comfortable tricot material. It is made using techniques developed in the industrial sector – where durability really counts – and is as tough as they come, designed to withstand long-term exposure to harsh environments.

One Planet Synapse garments are designed for durable performance – no matter the weather conditions, they can take it.

Seam sealing

The staff at One Planet have been making our products for years. This experience is evident throughout the manufacturing process, including at the seam sealing machine. Steady hands apply seam sealing tape with heat-activated glue to every seam on the garment, creating strong, waterproof bonds which last.

Zippers

We believe YKK zippers are the best on the market, and use YKK across our entire product range. We use #8 YKKs on our rainwear as the zips are easy to use, even with cold or gloved hands.

Hoods and wrist closures

When it’s raining ‘cats and dogs’, you’ll really appreciate our structured hoods with flexible brims. Our hoods have adjustable volume so they’ll fit and cinch comfortably to seal out the elements.

To combat the problem of water beading off your jacket arm and down the wrist hem to the inside of your jacket we use propriety hook and loop wrist closures. The in-mould design is durable and easily operated with gloved hands.
